Investing in private companies carries key risks, including limited liquidity, difficulty in valuing shares, and lack of financial transparency. Additionally, private companies face a high failure rate, potential dilution in future funding rounds, and restricted exit opportunities, all of which make the investment riskier and typically require a long-term commitment.
Tioex structures investment opportunities in leading pre-IPO tech companies. We do this by acquiring shares from existing shareholders — a process known as secondary investing — giving investors access to rare and hard-to-reach private market opportunities.
Since launch, over 7,000 investors have joined Tioex, investing more than €35 million across globally leading private tech companies.
It is free to join Tioex as a member. Upon a successful exit, investors first recoup their initial investment. Any profit beyond that is shared — with 80% distributed to investors and 20% retained by Tioex as performance-based compensation. Direct legal and administrative costs related to each investment may be covered within the structure. The profit share fee can be discounted for higher amounts than 1 million SEK (€100 000). Yes. There are several ways to reduce the profit share fee with Tioex.
By inviting friends or family to co-invest with you, both you and each new member receive a 5% discount on the profit share fee for their first investment. You can also qualify for a reduced profit share when investing more than €100,000 (approximately 1 million SEK), or by making a direct investment into Tioex Partners. No, Tioex is a member based investment platform where its members take independent investment decisions and can build their own portfolio of unlisted companies.
Investors on the platform are typically private investors that are entrepreneurs, C-levels or family offices. What they all have in common is an interest for innovation and being in the forefront when it comes to investments.
No, first of all you should never invest money that you could not afford to lose. We recommend all of our members to consider investments in Tioex to be the spice in one’s portfolio.
The lowest threshold is typically €10,000 and we have no upper limit. We work with smaller investors that invest €10,000 and we help clients that invest with €10m tickets. If you are an institutional investor please contact us for more information.
No. Tioex is not directly or indirectly marketed in the United States, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zeeland or South Africa.
Yes, that is very common.
You start by simply becoming a member totally free of charge and by following the email updates on our deal flow. When you see something that you are interested in you can leave an indication of interest.
Typically 1-2 per month. We normally have low or no activity during the summer holidays and around Christmas. We have historically done around 50 investments over the past 4 years.
Normally our investors have around 7 days to decide if they want to participate in an investment or not. Our opportunities are normally very time sensitive and there is always a risk that we will miss out if we don't act fast enough.
That is definitely our goal, however some of these companies are extremely hard to get access to and there is no guarantee that we will identify more opportunities in the future.
These investments are very hard to get access to. Typically one needs to be a large and well-connected institutional investor that can invest large sums of money to have a chance to access these investments.

We recommend all of our members to conduct their own research before doing an investment. We use different AI tools to provide reports and information regarding the target companies. Pre IPO companies are typically reporting frequently and there is a large amount of public data available.
No, typically we don't have the right to receive or share that kind of confidential information from the companies. We recommend following the target company you invest in on official channels such as their website, social media and business news outlets.
Until a liquidity event of the company, basically an IPO or the company gets acquired.
Tioex does not have an established process of selling shares. However, you are free to sell your shares on your own and we will help out with the administration.
